It's been busy year for Capocchi. Leo McKinnon made his arrival into the world on March 8. He was quickly followed by the arrival of two more precious babies; our most recent shipments from Europe!
Stock has slowly been making it's way on to the site (blame baby Leo) however do make sure you pop in as the showroom has never looked better.

Our buyers are currently overseas at the momment sourcing fabulous new pieces that will arrive late February 2010.

It always seems like a long wait but finally the two European shipments from our trip in June are about to arrive! Keep an eye on the site for new pieces that will begin to come into the showroom. This buying trip has turned up a whole lot of exciting pieces.

"High Tea on High" was a great success, Melbourne showcased a beautiful day weather wise and the street was busy with gorgeous ladies before and after the final fashion show of the L'Oreal Fashion Festival. Here's a quick shot of the musical entertainment that travelled the street...

L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival will be based at the Malvern Town Hall this year from March 15th-21st. As a High Street trader, Capocchi will be participating in the theme for the year, which is "High Tea on High". Our window will be decorated accordingly, and upon a visit to our store after the shows, ladies will be wowed with our stocks of Georg Jensen and Costume Jewellery perfect to match those new outfits.

Our buyers went on another buying trip for the month of October and have come back with some exciting photos of stock that is due to arrive early January. Just in time for our visitors who usually visit from Sydney and the US.

The Australian Antique and Art Dealers Fair commences today at Wharf 8 in Sydney, Harlequin Antiques will be exhibiting the finest pieces from our latest European jaunt, including a wonderful collection of Bronze figures. This international standard annual event is a must for serious antique collectors and showcases the very best that the antique trade has to offer in Australia.

As you may have noticed we have merged the website of our sister business, Harlequin Antiques, with our Capocchi site.
Now when looking for fine quality French Antiques from the 19th and early 20th centuries you need look no further than capocchi.com.au. Click on the Harlequin link to see our full range of exquisite sculpture, clocks, porcelain and oppulent French antique furniture in the Louis XIV, XV and XVI manners.
As usual our Harlequin showroom, located at the front of our Capocchi store, remains open by appointment. For access into the store please ask the staff at the front desk.

It's a New Year for Capocchi and we are welcoming it with the arrival of another European shipment. Included in the stock will be a sumptous leather chesterfield in lovely original condition, a funky 1970s perpsex gentlemans valet, an elegant 1920s Art Deco suite, a free standing kitchen bench and some provincial French Oak dining tables. As usual the range is both extensive and exciting.

AUSTRALIAN GARDENS ROMANCED BY FRENCH RUSTIC IDYLL
This November at Capocchi we are celebrating the onset of summer with a splash of French rustic design. Our central space will once again be transformed from October 31st, commencing with a fabulous Garden Party, where items from our latest shipment will be revealed. Wicker Baskets, an Art Deco Weather Vane, impressive stone fountain, French painted furniture and cafe chairs and tables galore. These items will slowly be listed on the website over the next coming weeks, mostly under the OUTDOOR section.

This week we have received a fabulous new shipment for winter overflowing with interesting bits and pieces from around the globe. From sculptural Whale vertebrae segments, and domed butterfly collections to sumptous leather chairs and antique fire screens; perfect for winter. There literally is something for everyone. Over the next few weeks these items will be listed on our site, however in the mean time you can catch them before they are listed as they come into our showroom.

Wednesday 30th May till Sunday 3rd June. We recently had two European shipments arrive so the show is bound to be a good one.

Kaleidoscope Art Deco has merged with Capocchi creating a even more exciting showroom with a lot more Art Deco. The front store has now been added onto the Capocchi space and converted into the Industrial Room- showcasing the latest French 1950s Industrial pieces to arrive with our most recent shipment earlier this year.

Another European shipment has arrived just in time for Christmas. A few new goodies are already in, including French wine bottle carriers and provincial work bences.
Please note Capocchi will be closed from December 25th and reopening January 2nd, 2007.

The boudoir has never been more relevant than today with the resurgence of decorative and personalised interiors. This sensual and enigmatic room will be the inspiration for our new theme of the central space at the Capocchi showroom. Our exhibition 'Fantasy', launched last night, will continue into December. Of particular interest are the two life size, leather clad sculptures by the French artist, Bruno Baratier.

The Capocchi family's other branches, Harlequin Antiques and Kaleidoscope Antiques, will be exhibiting at the Australian Antique Dealers Association Fair coming up at Wharf 8 in Sydney. The exhibition starts with the Gala Preview Wednesday August 23rd and continues until Sunday August 27th. It should be an exciting event.

"Reflections", Capocchi's latest exhibition, commences Wednesday 28th June and is on show until the last week of July. The show commemorates 200 years of design in Mirrors and Mirrored Furniture. With both interesting and important pieces from around the Globe.
